Priya Guha MBE brings a rare combination of international diplomacy, technology, investment and boardroom leadership to some of the defining questions facing organisations today.
A former British Consul General in San Francisco, Priya spent two decades in the Diplomatic Service, with postings in the United States, India and Spain. In Silicon Valley she led the UK Government’s engagement with global technology companies, investors, universities and entrepreneurs, while advising Ministers on emerging technology and geopolitical developments.
Today, Priya holds senior roles across business, technology, venture capital and the UK innovation ecosystem. She is a Non-Executive Director of FTSE-listed Reach plc and Herald Investment Trust, a Non-Executive Director of UK Research & Innovation and Senior Independent Director at Digital Catapult. Her wider work spans frontier technology, responsible AI, investment and the development of high-growth technology businesses.
Known for connecting technological disruption with its wider geopolitical, economic and societal consequences, Priya helps leaders look beyond the immediate excitement around innovation to understand what change really means for strategy, people, resilience and long-term growth. Her international experience gives her a distinctive perspective on the changing relationship between governments, technology companies, investors and global markets.
Priya is also a passionate champion of greater diversity within technology and innovation and is a Trustee of Tech She Can. Named to the Computer Weekly Top 50 Most Influential Women in UK Tech Hall of Fame, she was awarded an MBE for services to international trade and women in innovation.
